"I took the time to view the tapes and found them very interesting. No sooner had I finished viewing the tapes than my father-in-law called to tell me his VCR had stopped working. I told him I had the answer to his problem and suggested he play the tapes for himself. Of course, the one problem was his VCR had stopped working. The good news is he was able to use his CamCorder as a player and he was ready to learn how he could fix his own VCR. The tape covered the basics from full cleanings to replacing the read/write heads. The tape included some simple tests and even lists the places where replacement VCR supplies can be purchased. The cost for getting into VCR repair appears to be reasonable. But the big test was would my father-in-law be able to fix his own VCR unit as a result of viewing the video tapes. Well, the tape passed the test. My father-in-law determined the tape heads needed replacing and was able to complete the repair from simply viewing the tape."
